Edited by Joseph Bibby. Liverpool, J. Bibby and Sons, Elephant folio, each issue approx 64 pages with numerous illustrations (many full-page and in colour). Four numbers are bound together in the publisher's attractive colour pictorial cloth in each of volumes 1 -4 ,without wrappers; the volumes are all in fine condition. Bibby's Annual, a world famed publication which at its height has a circulation above a million copies, was the work of Joseph Bibby, an English Industrialist and leading light of the Theosophical Society. It was well regarded, not least for its lavish use of colour illustrations, reproducing famous paintings that hung in galleries throughout the United Kingdom.
