The Vision of Purgatory and Paradise,by Dante Alighieri, Published by Cassell, London, undated, [but circa 1890].Description New edition. 337pp., with with fabulous illustrations by Gustave Dore. Folio. Bound in the publisher's gilt decorated boards. Condition: A rather handsome, solid copy. There are spots of rubbing and scratching here and there, a little wear to the head and foot of the spine, and some spots of marking or fading along the spine; the spine is also very slightly cocked, but all in all, this is a very well preserved copy. Internally, the hinges and internal joints are sound; there are very slight traces of foxing in places, but generally the contents are sharp and clean throughout.
