Bateman), with coloured pictorial titles, contents (etc.), text leaves (calligraphic script) printed in gold within gilt floral decoration; original calf with elaborate pictorial, decorated & lettered embossing, g.e. & cream laid gilt-pictorial e/ps., 4to. Longman & Co., 1850.  designed by Owen Jones faults, as with many of these bound in the 1840's the gutta percher is starting to perish and hinges crack but this is still a beatiful and very clean example of this rare edition
