A very good copy indeed of this beautifully illustrated book. This libretto is based on Longfellow’s poem of a twelfth century German story, concerning sacrifice and redemption through love. It is complimented by Meteyard’s beautiful illustrations, which have a distinctly Pre-Raphaelite feel.
