Publishers original brown cloth boards with bright gilt, blue and green peacock feather design to front and spine, bright gilt titles to spine. Top edge gilt, fore and lower edges untrimmed. Brown endpapers. 28 full-page tipped-in colour plates of Persian life-studies. 101 quatrains with Persian top and bottom borders printed in black. Colour illustrations after Adelaide Hanscom and Blanche Cumming, each with tissue guard, top edge gilt. Condition: text block firm, decorative full morocco gilt binding in attractive peacock feather style, joints worn with upper board starting to split.
