First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. In purple embossed cloth, gilt tooling, sunken sections, topographical illustration at center, beveled edges, corners rubbed. Spine, faded slightly, gilt decorative tooling and titles, edges lightly bumped and worn. Internally, yellow endpapers, aeg, not paginated by 18 leaves with borders illustrated to rectos, most with guards, binders label to ep (Leighton), some faint offsetting, as with many of these bound in the 1840's the gutta percher has perished, some light spotting to eps. But overall a good copy
